La Neige

Oui, aujourd'hui il y a la neige qui tombe sur notre ville. C'est presque mai et il y a toujours la neige... c'est un peu triste. Ce matin j'ai reçu un courriel de « mon père » en Belgique. C'était un courriel court, mais très sympa. Chaque jour je deviens de plus en plus ravis pour l'année prochaine !

Le courage

I was really afraid to e-mail my host family and I've had their e-mail for a bit more than a month now. Today, I finally took up the little courage I had and sent them an e-mail. Seconds later two of my future host sisters and my host brother add me on facebook. I have a sister who is 15 and one that is 21. My host brother is 23. Then there is Charline who is 17 (she is the one leaving for exchange to mexico) and she was telling me that her parents will send me a message soon. I am so glad I decided to send the message. She also sent me a picture of her family.

 

This is my first host family minus the father. They are a good looking bunch! I hope I will get to know them very well and that Charline has a great exchange in Mexico. Next year will actually be great!

Aujourd'hui

I have mountains of work to do, and I keep telling myself it will get done later. Now I really have to get off the computer and enjoy a sunday of school work. In the end, it's worth it! I need to work hard if I want to maintain high marks, a part-time job and a stress-free summer!

Je m'en fiche à propos des résultats. La seule concerne pour un voyageur libre est un trajet plein d'aventure et les histoires à partager. Chaque jour je suis ravi pour le voyage, pas la destination.

Just because it seems like I don't know what I am doing or where I am going doesn't mean I am not looking. Searching for what I plan to do, who I plan to be, what I plan to make of myself. There is still so much to discover about yourself everyday just from taking a step off the beaten trail. 

Le But

I want to make my small world into something amazing... and I am so lucky to have many great people to share the adventure with. I haven't been everywhere, but I will get there and the first step is in August. Hard work results in dreams coming true.
